There are three outstanding positions from the CD2 Convention. Below are candidates who have applied with their qualifications.

1st Vice Chair - NC 02 Democratic Congressional District

Rhonda Bond - Offices/Memberships: Wake County Precinct Chair 01-21, Wake County,Organizer (2011 school board race), Wake County District Coordinator (Mills District), Wake County Lead District Coordinator, Wake County 2nd Vice Chair (2 terms) , State Executive Committee Member, phone bank volunteer, text bank volunteer, canvass volunteer, lit drop volunteer, Wake Dem Men's Club, Wake Dem Men's Club Board Member

Qualifications: I consider that my awakening occurred when Newt Gingrich declared his contract on America. I worked and organized my precinct then. I offered to do whatever was needed to win more Democratic Victories then. I am not through yet. We need to support our new Congressional Representative Ross and to ensure that she has other North Carolina Democrats beside her to make her strong. I declare my candidacy for the First Vice Chair of the Second Congressional District of North Carolina. I am ready and I am ready to fight!

NCDP COUNCIL OF REVIEW Candidates and qualifications

John Buck - Since moving to Apex in 2007 I have worked at the precinct and county and Congressional District level, and currently serve as the CD 2 Treasurer and as a member of my precinct committee as a member of the SEC. As a committed volunteer and Democrat I was honored to serve as one of your Biden Delegates to the National Convention (Virtually in Milwaukee). I believe my 20 year military Career and 21 year Special Education Teaching career, and familiarity with the NCDP Plan of organization give me a broad understanding of the character and challenges which are likely come before the Council of Review. As a retiree I have the time to devote to meetings and travel.

Terry Mahaffey - I am in the incumbent Council of Review member for CD2. I serve on the Apex Town Council (the only fully Democratic elected body in Wake County). In addition to serving on COR, I am a SEC member, a former District Coordinator for Apex, and a former precinct chair. In my time working with the party in the area these past 5 years I am proud to have been a part of Apex turning from red to bright blue!

Thank you for your support.

NCDP RESOLUTIONS AND PLATFORM COMMMITTEE Candidates and qualifications

Brandi Brown - I currently am serving my first term on the SEC and have been the district coordinator for the 12 precincts in East Wake since 2018. In addition, I was the secretary of the Progressive Caucus of the NCDP from 2017-2019, managing our documents related to minutes as well as resolutions. In 2020, I was part of Wake County's text steering committee. My eye for detail and organizational abilities would be beneficial to the work of the Resolutions & Platform Committee.

My professional background in media covering business & government as well as writing investigative pieces spans 15 years and makes me qualified to commit to the research necessary to assist with the needs of the committee. My goal if selected would be to ensure that I assist the committee chair and other members in the ways I am best suited to help coordinate platform and resolution ideas from our party members into meaningful, cohesive documentation.

Bob Hyman - I am asking for your support for a second term as your representative on the NCDP Resolutions and Platform Committee.

I am a veteran of the NCDP resolutions process and platform creation process. I have written progressive resolutions on education, union rights, and fair housing which were adopted by Wake County, Congressional District, and the NCDP Democratic Parties in their resolutions committees and in their conventions. I have served twice as Resolutions Chair for the Wake County Dems and for Congressional District Parties. I wrote the Wake County Dems manual on resolutions -- "FORMAT, SYNTAX, & LIFECYCLE OF NC DEMOCRATIC PARTY RESOLUTIONS." As a member of the 2018 - 2020 NCDP Resolutions and Platform Committee, I chaired the subcommittee on Labor and the Economy which produced a very progressive set of planks for the 2020 NCDP Platform which was adopted at the 2020 NCDP Convention. Motivated by testimony by some Wake County Democrats, I added a civics education plank promoting fostering an understanding of how our government works at all levels.

I know how to make good trouble for great changes. I am a retired precinct chair (4 terms) for Wake County Precinct 18-02, and a long-time serving member of the NCDP State Executive Committee. I was one of the first Wake County Dems District Coordinators and served through a number of election cycles, contributing to unseating the Tea Party School Board. I have served on the NCDP Plan of Organization Review Committee since its inception. Following my participation as a delegate to the 2016 Democratic National Convention, I became one of the founders of the Progressive Caucus of the North Carolina Democratic Party.

Respectfully, Bob Hyman

Renee Sekel - I am an attorney by training (not currently practicing). I am currently the chair of precint 20-10, and founded and run an education advocacy group that organizes parents to lobby for good policy and funding for our public schools.

NCDP CD2 CREDENTIALS AND APPEALS COMMITTEE

Shelley Crisp - Many years experience in education, administration, and nonprofit work offer a wealth of critical thinking background and the ability to weigh opinions, options, and versions of events
